Zip a dee doo dah

There's just something about this dress that I love. So much so, that I bought it in blue too. It fits well, there's a hint of sexiness about the zip front and it makes my boobs like pretty amazing, what's not to like? It's too short for me to wear with tights (I'm 5' 8" ish) so I've worn it with jeggings as my knees don't need to be on show.

I love this tomato colour, it's a fairly orangey red. I just wore all black to minimise blinding my colleagues. If they had this dress in other colours, I'd be itching to buy. My bank balance is thankful it's not.

Fancy pants

Yes, this is another pair of floral trousers. I think I have a problem.

These are from Simply Be and are part of their Magifit range and I've a couple of pairs of these. I find the fit really good and the ankle length of these is quite flattering. I just wish we'd have some sunny weather so I can stop it with the chunky cardigans.

Never mind, I'm off to Thailand in 3 weeks so these'll get worn with sandals then!

Invasion of the Killer curves

So last night, I was in our local pub (this is not news, I'm in there 3 times a week) happily minding my own business at the bar awaiting the arrival of my husband, when I heard a guy say to his mates "She could be a stunner if she lost some weight."

Being the nosy cow I am, I had a look round to see who he was referring to, when it became obvious they were all staring at me. Now, I am not phased by such bollocks, I am fat, I am aware that I am not everyone's cup of tea, but why does being fat make it ok for people to comment on my appearance when I am within earshot? I just smiled at him and replied "ah but if I was thinner, I'd attract arseholes like you" and supped quietly on my pint of cider like the fat bird that I am.

I guess I'll take it as a compliment that he felt the need to comment on me at all, but anyone with less confidence than me could be crushed by hearing this sort of crap - just remember people, we're all amazing regardless of our shapes and sizes....

And onto today, I wish I'd been wearing this t-shirt last night to stick 2 fingers up at the pub knob jockey.

I've had this t-shirt for a few months, but it's yet to make an appearance on the blog, but it's kind of how I feel today so I'm wearing loud and proud. I bought the largest size available as I wanted it to be slouchy and I love it. I've just kept it simple with grey skinny jeans and my studded wedge trainers, cos that's how I roll...

Some stuff I've been wearing

I've just returned from a lovely weekend away with the girls in Manchester, much booze was consumed and much laughter was had. I meant to try and take some 'proper' outfit posts, but I was too busy catching up with the ladies, that I completely forgot, so here's a little snippet of some of the stuff I wore. I felt pretty good all weekend, so it'd be a shame not to share.

I appear to have been on a bit of a spending spree of late, I really need to stop buying stuff. My wardrobe is fit to bursting.

Flower power

Another of my pencil skirts from Simply Be. I played it far too safe with this one, teaming it with all black. I need to add an injection of colour the next time I wear it. Although, all black really makes the skirt stand out.

These skirts are so easy to wear and really comfy too. Plus they come in various different lengths, so I am not forever pulling it down to hide my pudding knees.

What colour would you wear with this skirt?

Chantilly Lace

Right, I've no idea why there is a demonic look on my face, but you'll have to bear with me. I wore this outfit last week when me and the boy went for dinner during a stay at a fancy hotel. We were just eating in the Brasserie so I didn't make too much of an effort, as you can tell!

This top is the same as the black one that I've worn to death, I love the style and the fact that it's a little bit see through so adds a hint of sexiness to an otherwise safe outfit.

Excuse the crap photo quality, I really need to sort that out.
